About Art Teacher Tools
Hi! I am a high school visual arts teacher who builds helpful tools for other hard-working teachers.
I teach high school art to around 180 high school students per week. I have over six years of experience teaching art to all grade levels, from pre-k to 12th grade. In 2025, I was named my state’s Secondary Art Teacher of the Year. Basically, I really enjoy sharing my love for art with my students.
Over the past two years, I’ve built up my current school’s new art program from scratch and I’ve learned a lot along the way. However, I have been running into the same problem: the tools I needed for my classroom didn’t exist.
So, I decided to make them myself.
Why I Built Art Teacher Tools
Every tool on this site started teh same way—I needed it for my classroom, couldn’t find it anywhere and decided to build it myself. Whether it was a photo grid generator that actually worked the way I wanted or a reference image library I could pull up in in front of my classes without worrying about if all images woudl be school-appropriate, these tools solved real problems I faced every single day.
Now I am sharing these tools with other art teachers because I can’t be the only one who’s spent hours searching for resources that should be simple to find.
